Ever since 1956, the Eurovision Song Contest has been bringing together people from all over the world. With 41 participating countries, an estimated 200 million television viewers and thousands of international guests present in Tel Aviv, the ESC 2019 in Israel was no exception. Once again, the stream of visitors at the world’s largest music competition was managed with Pe2M accreditation passes from Ratingen, Germany.
Riedel Communications, a leading provider of signal distribution and communications infrastructures headquartered in Wuppertal, managed the access control system on site in Israel. For the third time in a row, Riedel relied on Pe2M’s proven XXL cards with integrated RFID chip for secure and flexible guest management.
The pre-printed ID cards of around 12,000 participants, including artists, technicians, journalists and VIPs, could be personalized within seconds. Due to their extra-large format, the cards were easily recognizable by security staff and offered space for additional information, such as organizational and legal information.
Be it a music concert, a sports event or a trade fair: Pe2M supports event organizers in their organizational and technical challenges with modern tailor-made ID systems.
